The Doubletree by Hilton Seychelles – Allamanda Resort & Spa, has a lovely beach location in the South East of Mahe. This is a small resort, & has only 30 rooms, but there is a great vibe. The superb private beach is dotted with huge granite boulders, as well as complemented by the lush tropical foliage of the surrounding mountains. The location is a great starting point to explore the unspoiled coves and beaches of southern Mahe or head up the coast for an interesting visit to the Takamaka Bay Rum Distillery and a traditional creole meal at La Plaine St. Andre Restaurant. All types of beach sports are available here plus snorkelling equipment and kayaks are free of charge. If you must work hard on your holiday, the fitness room is glass-fronted, overlooking the sea and, if you prefer not to work hard the Duniye Spa is located on the rocks, beachfront.
For visitors who can tear themselves away from their resort, the Seychelles offers a wide variety of things to see and do; from the prehistoric rainforest of Praslin’s National Park, to the 70 beaches of Mahé, with endless water sports. You could take an excursion to Mahe’s capital, Victoria, to admire its colonial mansions; As well as meet the giant tortoises, at the botanical gardens. You can also visit tiny islands such as beautiful La Digue, perhaps joining local fishermen in their boat, for a day’s angling. in the abundant waters. Discover National monuments, beautiful Creole houses, artists’ studios, national reserves, as well as marine parks. Explore Seychelles’ breath-taking, natural wonders above, as well as beneath the waves. Take a guided nature tour, to enjoy some of the rarest species of flora and fauna, on Earth. Not forgetting the mellow Seychelles nightlife, where you can take in a casino or some local bars. Dine in fine restaurants, offering unforgettable Creole, as well as international cuisine.
