4-6 July 2025| Silverstone International Circuit

There is an inextricable link between England and Formula One Grand Prix racing. When the Formula One World Championship was incepted in 1950, Silverstone, the oldest race on the calendar, held the very first round, won by Giuseppe Farina in an Alfa Romeo. England is also home to seven of the teams: McLaren, Williams, Red Bull, Lotus, Force India, Mercedes as well as Marussia. The British Grand Prix is hosted annually at the Silverstone Circuit near the village of Silverstone in Northamptonshire in England.

For motor-sport fans, this circuit is a classic. The track, a former World War II aerodrome, is fast and formidable and requires bravery as well as finesse to achieve a quick lap time. The event is thrilling to watch live, with the circuit boasting plenty of good viewing from the temporary grandstands or with a general admission ticket. With England readily accessible from South Africa, the British Grand Prix is one motor-sport event that should be on your sports travel bucket list for. Glorious weather and action-packed racing promise the perfect summer getaway in the United Kingdom.
